Eldred Coffman

Borger Eldred Coffman, 93, of Borger, died Sunday, November 25th in Borger. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Coffman, her son of Sanford, Florida and Chaplain C.W. Parker, Chaplain of Odyssey Health Care, assisting. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Rocky Creek Cemetery in Brownwood, TX. Mrs. Coffman will lie in state Wednesday evening at Davis-Morris Funeral Home in Brownwood, TX. Services are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Coffman was born April 19, 1914 in Allen, Oklahoma to Jospeh and Lola Alexander. She married Clarence James Coffman on September 23, 1934 in Mena, Arkansas. She graciously served as a Baptist minister's wife and Sunday School teacher and continued her Christian witness throughout her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceeded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers and husband C.J. in 1981. Survivors include three sons - Bill Coffman and wife Ann of Sanford, Florida; Walter Coffman and wife Judy of Tuscola, Texas; Larry Coffman and wife Ellen of Borger, Texas; 6 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to the Odyssey Health Care at The Atrium at Coulter Ridge 6900 I-40 West, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
