Elizabeth Anne "Liz" Lindsey

Elizabeth Anne Lindsey, affectionately known as Lizzy, passed away on June 21st, 2023, leaving a profound impact on all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit, unwavering determination, and caring nature touched the lives of many. Lizzy's infectious laughter and ability to find humor in any situation made gatherings memorable. She selflessly cared for her parents and pursued her passions with relentless dedication.

Lizzy loved the Lord with all her heart and everyone around her knew it. She talked about Jesus to everyone she met. Her faith carried her through the good times and the hard times.

As a Registered Nurse, Lizzy made a difference in countless lives through her career and travels. Her holistic approach to medicine, inspired by her grandmother, resonated with others. Despite her own battle with cancer, Lizzy faced adversity with resilience and shared her journey with others, spreading knowledge and inspiration.

In her final two years, Lizzy prioritized quality of life. She spent her days creating new and lasting memories with family and friends. Within the last six months, she traveled countless hours to spend time with her grandkids, attending track meets, many senior events and even a Taylor Swift concert. Most recently, she went on a much anticipated cruise with her family. Her legacy of living fully and embracing every moment will continue to inspire.  Lizzy's light may have dimmed, but its glow will forever remain in our hearts.

Liz was born May 16, 1959, in Midland, TX to her parents Roland Steele Ledford and Sarah Ann Locke Ledford. She married the love of her life, Jimmy Lindsey, on December 29, 1984.  She was a member of the Celebration Family Church and enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her grandson, Jared Parks.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Lindsey of Fritch, TX; father, Roland Ledford of Fritch, TX, three daughters, Kristal Parks and husband Sean of Yukon, Oklahoma, Tara Moyer and husband Jim of Borger, TX and Shaleigh Schneider and husband Brent of Seminole, FL; grandchildren, Kirstie (Dakota), Ryley, Sierra, Brooklyn, Zach, Kailan, Ava, Blake, Allie, Nate, Owen and Emma; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Zane and one on the way; brother, Ronnie Ledford and wife Kenda of Fritch, TX and sister, Andrea Wright and husband David of San Antonio,TX. She also had many nieces and nephews that she adored. 

Casket bearers will be Sean Parks, Jim Moyer, Brent Schneider, Ryley Moyer, Zach Parks, Blake Schneider, Dakota Lagunas and Barrett Watkins.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 24, 2023, at Celebration Family Church in Fritch, TX.  The burial will follow at the Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in Borger.  Liz will lie in state in Borger.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in Lizzy's name to our local Meals on Wheels or Chosen Care (www.chosen.care/giving) Chosen supports foster, adoptive, kinship and reunified biological parents by teaching them trauma-responsive ways to care for their children that help them heal.
