Ella Cornelison

Ella Mae Cornelison, 88, of Borger, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 7, 2022, in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Fairlanes Baptist Church in Borger. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.  There will be a visitation of family and friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ella was born July 11, 1933, in Tishomingo, OK to Lemuel Dorsey and Birdie Mae ( Lovett ) Rainbolt. She married the love of her life, R D Cornelison, October 18, 1952, in Ardmore, OK.  Ella and R D came to Borger in 1952. She worked for J. M. Huber as a gas clerk for 8 years. Then she became a real estate broker in both Odessa and Borger. She was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church and the Jane Phillips Society. She loved Jesus and her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Ella also enjoyed reading and traveling, most of all when it was a cruise.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband R D, brothers Johnnie, Jack and Ted Rainbolt and sisters Patricia Pace and Wanda Inez Stevens.

Survivors include her son, Rick and his wife Pam Cornelison of Clovis, NM, daughters, Jan Carder of Canyon, TX and Lisa and her husband Ron Kennedy of Borger. Grandchildren are Missy and Larry Schrib, Brad and Brittany Jones, Kaycee and Sawyer Perry, and Braden Kennedy and Rosston Kennedy. Great grandchildren Ben, Lindley, and Brant Schrib, Raygen and Saydee Perry, and Caleb and Addy Jones.
