Elvie Lee Granny Baggs, 86, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008 in Canyon, Texas.BRBRServiceswill be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Sherman Eastand of Northwest Texas Hospital officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.BRBRMrs. Baggs was born October 18, 1921 in Hastings, Oklahoma. She was raised on a farm outside of Rushsprings, OK and had been a Fritch resident since 1984. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur A. Cotton Baggs on March 25, 1997 and two daughters Bertha Elinor Baggs in 1950, Mildred Pauline Byrum of Oklahoma, two sisters of Oklahoma and her parents.BRBRShe is survived by her son, Wilbur Baggs, Jr wife Helen of Fritch, sister - Lorene Badillo of Chickasha, OK, seven grandchildren and lots of great-grandchldren and numerous friends.

Casket bearers will be Brady Baggs, Wesley Baggs, Jimmy Harbert, ronald henry and Daniel Caballero.BRBRMemorials may be made to Hospice of the Southwest, 1301 S. Coulter, Suite 404, Amarillo 79106.BR
