Elvin Oldham

Elvin Albert "Al" Oldham,75, passed away on August 14 at home in Panhandle Tx. Al was born on August 24th,1944 in Amarillo TX to Elvin Lee and ELena Oldham. Memorial services will be held on Thursday 20th at 10 am at New Hope Assembly of God in Panhandle.
Al joined the Navy in 62 to 65. After a brief stay in Washington State he came back to Amarillo TX and met Kathleen Mae King Powell. They married on May 12, 1979 and chose to make Panhandle the home of their four children.
Al loved sports of all kinds and in his younger years enjoyed volunteering as a coach and an umpire for little league baseball. He later retired from the state in November 2006 and enjoyed fishing and wood working.
Proceeding him in death are his parents and two brothers, Tommy and Buddy Oldham.
Survived by his wife Kathy of Panhandle, son Lee Oldham and fiancé Annette, three daughters, Katrina Powell Jones of Amarillo, Crystal Jackson of Panhandle and Denise Shackelford and husband Craig. He has 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Al was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
