Enedina Lucero

Enedina “Nina” Lucero, 88 passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020.

Funeral services will be held 2pm on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dwight Kirksey officiating.  Services will be streamed at the bottom of this page.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday, December 14, 2020 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the Borger Salvation Army, PO Box 1046, Borger, Texas 79008 or to a charity of choice.

Enedina was born April 18, 1932 in San Angelo, Texas to I.B. Rodriguez and Frances Garza Rodriguez.  She worked various job in the area including a sewing factory for 6 years, Western Auto for 6 years and then found her favorite job at JC Penny.  Enedina enjoyed cooking especially tortillas, music of all kinds with country and gospel being her favorite and socializing. She loved her Church and her Savior.  Nothing brought more joy to her life than her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, I.B. and Frances Rodriguez; sons, Gene, Tony, Fred; daughter, Louisa Sarha; brothers, Victor, Albert; and sisters, Yolanda and Louisa.

Survivors include her son, Mike Lucero and wife Robin of Fritch; daughter, Evelyn McCullar of Pampa; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Offie, Juanita, Irene; brothers, Henry, Mike; numerous nieces and nephews; and host of extended family.
