Erma Jean Green, 85, died Friday October 2, 2015 at her home in Panhandle. Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the New Hope Assembly of God Church. Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
She was born March 27, 1930 in Winfield, Iowa to Henry Nichols and Bertha Calhoun Nichols. She came to Texas in 1973 and worked as a Bonder and Driller for Bell Helicopter before retiring. She was a member of New Hope Assembly of God Church and was a singer with the Good Timers Band for 20 years. She married Miles Junior Green February 24, 1949 in New London, Iowa and he preceded her in death in 2011, also preceded by her parents and three brothers.
Mrs. Green is survived by her two sons Roger Green and his wife Diana of Panhandle and Gary Green and his wife Beverly of Borger, her two daughters Linda Ogburn and Gale Stribling both of Panhandle, 13 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donations be made to the Erma Green Fund at Happy State Bank.
