Ernest Joe Wagner, 69, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 in Amarillo.

The Family will be having a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church in Fritch with Assistant pastor Jeremy Rice officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Joe was born May 10, 1942 in Wheeler, Texas and on September 26, 1960 he entered into the United States Army. He married Sherry Garrison November 16, 1963 in Memphis, Texas. Joe retired as an operator after working for Mapco for 23 years. He lived in Fritch over forty years coming from Aubrey, Texas. Joe was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Fritch, where he was a charter member. He was a fishing fool, and loved playing music.

Mr. Wagner is preceded in death by his parents Kell and Loraine Wagner, a sister Betty Sternkopf, and a brother Jimmy Wagner.

Survivors include his wife Sherry of the home 2 sons Samuel Kell Wagner and wife Cathy of Fritch, Wiley Wagner and wife Nancy of Fritch a daughter Selena McClellan and husband Jeff of Borger 2 brothers Ronnie Wagner and wife Lynda of Amarillo, and Glen Wagner also of Amarillo Twin sisters Karen Watson and husband Carrol of Plainview, and Sharon Watson and husband Rick also of Plainview 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Family will be at 202 N. Ridgeland Lane in Fritch.
