Eulis Denton

Borger Eulis Carlee Denton, 86, died Saturday March 3 in Amarillo. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Central Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Denton was born in Hedley, TX and married John Denton December 23, 1945 in Memphis, TX. She loved her family and was a wonderful MotherinLaw. She was a Sunday School Teacher for many years and a member of the WMU. She sewed, painted, did crosstitch and she baked. She loved teaching her grandchildren how to bake cookies and read to them constantly.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Clifford Jester and Weldon Jester and her sister Uleta Chastain.

Eulis is survived by her husband of 66 years Rev. John Denton, 3 Sons Larry Denton and his wife Liz of Borger, Mark Denton and his wife Melissa of Pampa and Daryl Denton and his wife Angie of Lefors, 2 daughters Johna Layton and her husband Bob of Fritch, Sue Lynn Vallaster and her husband Joe of Shattuck, OK, 1 brother Derrell Jester and his wife Jo of Hurst, TX, 11 Grandchildren Susan Greenwald and husband Shaun, Margaret Walker and husband Dave, Michael Denton and wife Bree, John Denton and wife Marie, Amy Shaw and husband David, Candy Watson and husband Jeff, Carrie Johnson and husband Tim, Krista Denton and Trae Alima, Cassi Denton, Stephen Denton, and Matt Denton and 8 Great Grandchildren Mikaela Denton, Levi Denton, Michael Shaw, Adam Shaw, John Watson, Olivia Watson, Colleen KofskyJohnson and Raistlin Johnson.

Casket bearers will be Michael Denton, John D. Denton, Stephen Denton, Matt Denton, Jeff Watson, Dave Walker, David Shaw, Shaun Greenwald, Tim Johnson and Trae Alima.
