Eva Lyone bell, 97, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 3, 2007 in Borger.
Graveside services were 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007 at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor Bible Baptist Church Officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Good Shepherd under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMrs. Bell was born on Oct. 1, 1909 in Pawnee County, Oklahoma to Bud and Bessie Paxton. She married Albert Bell on July 20, 1929 and made her home in Borger that same year. MaMa liked nothing more than watching a baseball game, reading a book, beating her grankids at a game of canasta, and most of all spending time with her family. Her homemade cinnamon rolls copuld cure any ailment and she was passionate about her square dancing. Eva and her husband were longtime members of the Boots and Calico Square dance Club. She was a part of the Home Demonstration Club, a PTA President, a 4-H Leader and a member of the Baptist Church.BRBREva was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bell in 1988: her parents, Bud and Bessie Paxton: brother Alfred Paxton: son-in-law, Dean Garrett and a grandson, Bill Garrett.BRBRSurvivors include her daughter, Lyone Garrett of Borger. Granddaughter Belynnda Griffin and husband Ronnie of Turpin, Oklahoma. Granddaughter-in- Law , Charlotte Garrett of Borger. Great Grandchildren Robin Purdy and husband Doug of Agate, Colorado: DeDe Conaway and Husband Jody of Borger: Deana Ott and husband Raymond of Borger: Ron Griffin and wife Michelle of Stinnett. Great Great Grandchildren Tae'lor and Bay'lee Purdy: Mercedes and Lexus Ott: Trey and calli Griffin; and Cash Conaway.
