Evadna Boyer

Evadna Virginia McClure Boyer, 87 of Amarillo formerly of Borger died Tuesday July 3rd in Amarillo.

Family graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Highland Park Cemetery and 10: 00 a.m. Friday Memorial service at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Virginia was born April 26, 1920 in Athens, Henderson County, Texas to Olney and Ora Rachel Marchant. At age 6, she moved with her family to Borger, where she lived until moving to Amarillo in 1999. She worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. in Borger for 30 years, retiring in 1982 at age 62.

She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Borger. While living in Amarillo she attended More Church in Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Emmitt and Dalton Riddel.

She is survived by a son, Dr. Bobby Freeman of Cookeville, Tenn. and a daughter Faye and her husband Bill Hadley of Amarillo, Tx. eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren.
