Evelyn Wiseman

Evelyn Brians Wiseman was born to Robert Thomas Brians and Maggie Smart Brians on September 11, 1916 in Bonham, Texas. She died on May 7th, 2012, in Spearman, Texas, at the age of 95.

Evelyn was married to Paul Wiseman of Charleston, West Virginia, on November 17, 1937, in Borger, Texas. They were the parents of three children, Sonja Janice, Ronald Glenn, and Mark Gregory. The family resided in Borger until 1960 when they were transferred to Houston, Texas, with United CarbonAshland Oil.

Evelyn operated her own business, Evelyn Wiseman Interior Design, in Houston, Texas, for over 25 years, but she was not all business. She loved her family, flower gardening, oil painting, tole painting, and animals of all kinds, especially dogs.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, five brothers, her husband Paul, and her son, Ron.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Sonja Wiseman Westerfield of Borger, Texas, her daughterinlaw, Ramona Wiseman of Houston, Texas, and her son Mark Wiseman of Seattle, Washington five grandchildren: Max Westerfield of Dallas, Texas, and his wife Gina Tina Westerfield Randall of Florence, Alabama, and her husband Mark Lisa Westerfield Feldman of Lubbock, Texas Eric Wiseman of Houston, Texas and Jill Wiseman of Houston, Texas and six greatgrandchildren: Pierce and Bailey Westerfield of Dallas, Texas Miles and Matt Randall of Florence, Alabama and Bregg and Dacey Feldman of Lubbock, Texas.

Evelyn loved her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren and they all loved her and will miss her until they see her again in heaven.

Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors will host a family visitation on Thursday, May 10th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Graveside services will held at East View Cemetery in Vernon, Texas, on Friday, May 11th, at 2:00 PM.
