Felix Lee Parker, 90, died Monday, April 11, 2016 in Borger. A Celebration of Life service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Fritch with Pastor Sharalyn Larsen officiating.
Felix was born March 22, 1926 in Electra, TX to Felix Leslie Parker and Mary Lee Dozier Parker. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during WWII as a 3rd Class Aviation Machinist Mate. He married Geraldine "Deanie" Hendricks who preceded him in death. Felix served his church as Chairman of the Board, Church Property Finance Chairman and was on the Membership and Evangelism committees, also as a deacon and elder. He was a member of the Unity Masonic Lodge #1242. Felix loved golf and in his younger years raced cars and went all over the country watching car races. He loved hunting and fishing and training his dog and belonged to the Panhandle Retriever Club. He was a volunteer at Borger Health Care Center where he was affectionately known as the mayor.
Felix is survived by his son John Parker of Lewisville, TX and his daughter Sandra Nichols of Clear Lake, TX and his grandson Chance Parker of Key West, Florida.
