Fern Cain

Fern Fleming Cain, 96, passed away Saturday April 2, 2011 in Borger at her home.

Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Wednesday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. James Stephens pastor of First Christain Church of Borger and Rev. Jim Fox of Amarillo officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Dirctors of Borger.

Fern was born April 3, 1914 at Johnson County, Arkansas to George and Minnie Fleming. She had been a resident of Borger since the early 1930s. She married Norman Cain March 21, 1936 at Lubbock, Texas. Fern was a secretary for the National Park Service at Lake Meredith. She was an avid bird watcher. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband , brother Irvin Fleming andgrandson Kevin Jackson.

She is survived by a son Jim and wife Charolette of Hastings, Ok. Daughter Aileen Cain Jackson of Borger. Grandchildren Kenneth Jackson, Karen Wakefield, Craig Jackson , Shanna Cain Davis and Jack Cain.
