Floyd Holliman

October 4, 1926 — July 28, 2016

Floyd C. Holliman, 89, passed away at home July 28, 2016 in Borger surrounded by his loving family and friends. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Fairlanes Baptist Church with Rev. Philip Hilton, Pastor of the 1st Baptist Church of Idalou and Rev. Paul Burwash, Fairlanes Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Floyd was born October 4, 1926 in Roff, OK to Elmer P. Holliman and Eva Lee Roberts Holliman. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during WW II as a Seaman 1st Class. He married Jean Thompson October 11, 1946 in Ada, OK and they moved to Borger in 1947. Floyd was an Instrument Repair Man and later as a maintenance man for Phillips Petroleum Co. at the Philblack Plant for forty one years retiring in 1988. He loved being with his children and grandchildren and was a great family man, he was a deacon at Fairlanes Baptist Church, had been a member of the Borger Optimist Club and coached Little League Baseball. He was a member of the Borger Antique and Classic Car Club, was Music Minister at Bunavista Baptist for many years, he sang in the Sinceres and One Accord and loved gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters Lenora Gabler and Dortha McDonald, his brother Olen Holliman and his grandson Daniel Gaytan.

Floyd is survived by his wife of almost 70 years Jean, his son Brian Holliman and his wife Stacy of Denton, his two daughters Denise Mustard and her husband Tom of Corpus Christi and Carla Anderson of Borger, his six grandchildren Lisa Fairley and husband Greg, Julia Fragoso and husband Stacey, Cristin Matula and husband Dustin, Jonathan Gaytan and Fiancé Cheyenne, Dalton Mustard and Benjamin Holliman, his Nine Great Grandchildren Isaiah, Jazmin, Kiley, Alexa, Jarrett, Emery, Devan, Brady and Whit, his sister Margaret Haney of Borger and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew Jim Gabler and his wife Phyllis.

Casket Bearers will be Jonathan Gaytan, Dalton Mustard, Benjamin Holliman, Greg Fairley, Stacey Fragoso and Dustin Matula. Honorary Casket Bearers will be the Deacons at Fairlanes Baptist Church.

The family would like to give a special thanks to BSA Hospice of the Southwest and his caregivers Carol, Jamie and Jo Ellen. They would also like to thank Donna Boston from Shepard's Crook.
