Frances Bowling, 85, of Borger passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 peacefully at her home.
Frances Bowling was born January 31, 1932 to Grady and Simmie (Smith) Glover in Vernon, Texas. She was a Borger resident for over 60 years and was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church. Frances married J.T. Bowling on July 1, 1951 in Borger. She retired as a clerk at The River convenient store. She loved attending church, and shopping with her granddaughter Michelle. Michelle blames her grandmother for her shopping addiction.
Survivors include her son Mike Bowling and Liz of Katy; two grandchildren Michelle Bowling of Houston, Scott Chambers of Santa Fe, New Mexico; two great grandsons Jacob Bustillos of Houston, and Christopher Chambers of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband, her brother, James Glover and sister, Thelma Glover, her sister-in-law Bobbie Bowling, and her brothers-in-law, Winfred and J.C. Bowling.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Panhandle Cemetery, officiated by Preacher Jimmy Gilmore of Riverview Baptist Church.
