Frances Sinclair

Frances Ann Sinclair, 72, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016.

Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, November 14, 2016 at First United Methodist Church of Panhandle with Rev. Randy Thomas and Rev. Dr. Jerry Lane. Burial will follow in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a gift to the First United Methodist Church of Panhandle or to the Lynette Gabel-Wright Memorial Scholarship at Panhandle High School, P.O. Box 1030, Panhandle, Texas, 79068.

Frances was born November 26, 1943 in Amarillo to Mary Madelyn Bennett Metcalf and Frank Andrew Metcalf. She enjoyed sewing. As her daughters were growing up, she made all of their clothes. Frances also enjoyed quilting. She made a quilt for the First United Methodist Church every year for the past 24 years. She was also a volunteer for Garretson Retirement Center. Nothing brought more joy to her life than being with her family. She would request that everyone come home for the holidays.

She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Floyd Metcalf.

Survivors include her husband, Erskine of Panhandle; sons, Devin Sinclair and wife Mandy of Panhandle, Brett Sinclair of Amarillo, Earl Sinclair and wife Dyanne of Panhandle; daughters, Michelle Mayfield and husband Ty of Amarillo, Holley Williamson and husband Scott of Corpus Christi, Brenda Sinclair of Panhandle, Jennifer Marlar and husband Jeff of Pampa; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Gabel of Panhandle.
