Frances Taylor, 82 of Borger died on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Minton Memorial Chapel with Minister Michael Keough, of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors. The family will be receiving visitors on Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m., May 31 at the funeral home.
Frances was born in Longton, Kansas on September 23, 1938 to Roy A. and Neva Maxine (Nay) Hastings. She has lived in the Borger area since 1949. She married Vernon Taylor on January 5, 1973 in Borger. Frances was a former member of the Altrusa Club and Friends of the Library. She was a homemaker and loved creating crafts, especially loved sewing, crocheting, and knitting.
Frances was preceded in death by her mother, and step-father, Neva and Fred Houston; her father, Roy Hastings; a brother, Ben Hastings and a grandson, Clint Harris.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Vernon; daughters, Laquetta Harris and husband, Alan of Iraan, Texas, Gail Brogger and husband, Mark of Ponca City, Oklahoma; a sister, Jane Bryan and husband, Mike of Fritch, Texas; grandchildren, Tim Harris and wife, Kacy of Midland, Texas, Charlie Harris and wife Amber of San Angelo, Texas, Daniel Harris and wife, Candice, of Midland, Texas, Meredith Pechacek and husband, Cody of Cibolo, Texas, Laura Burmaster and husband, Steve of Algonquin, Illinois, Emily Keough and husband, Michael of Amarillo, Texas, Pamela Moore and husband, Jonathan of Midland, Texas, Pate Brogger of Ponca City, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Jordan Harris, Laura Harris, Layla Harris, Maverick Harris, Dexter Harris, Dani Harris, Clint Pechacek, Charlotte Pechacek, Maelee Pechacek, Micah Pechacek, Grace Burmaster and Grant Burmaster.
