Frances "Jerrie" Hawthorne

Francis G. “Jerrie” Hawthorne, 80, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 with Pastor Jim Gose officiating.  Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the funeral home.

Jerrie was born November 14, 1940 in Nashville, Arkansas to Imogene and Carl Linzy.  She married James Hawthorne February 12, 1959 in Stinnett. Jerrie enjoyed oil painting, crafts and working in the yard.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James; her son, James Dale Hawthorne; parents; brother, Willie Jones; and sister, Nella Fletcher.

Survivors include daughters Paula Bangel and her husband Bobby of Louisa, Virginia, Tonnie Leewright of Borger; a special granddaughter that she raised as a daughter, Lisa Callahan and her husband Tommy of Canyon; a special grandson, Justin Hawthorne of Borger; three great grandchildren, Lauren, Brenna and Colin Callahan of Canyon; one sister, Betty Jones of Borger; and one brother, Steve Jones of Granite Falls, North Carolina.
