Sue Prather, 69, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 in Amarillo.BRBRCelebration of Life services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Scott Gordon, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMrs. Prather was born January 2, 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX. She married James C. Prather on December 10, 2000 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She prepared Income Tax returns for the public. Sue loved her grandkids, fishing, antiques, fancy hats, yard sales, and gambling. Her favorite holiday was Easter because it teaches us all that there is no greater gift than our Father who sent his Son to die for us.BRBRShe is survived by her husband, James C. Prather of the home, son- Benjamin David Prather of Sanford, two daughters - Veronica Archer and husband Larry of Orlando, Florida, Rebecca Prather of Sanford, brother - David Sirmons of Gary, OK, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.BRBRMemorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell St., Amarillo 79109.
