Borger - Funeral services for Frank Charles Badeen, 89, of Amarillo will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Georgia King, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Badeen died Tuesday in Amarillo.
He was born in Wilburton, OK on August 23, 1920 and resided in Phillips and Borger since 1948. He moved to Amarillo in 2008. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Borger.
Frank served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He owned and operated Cut Rate Food Store in Phillips from 1954 until 1981. Frank worked for Borger ISD until his retirement at age 82. He was a member of the Unity Masonic Lodge 1242, the Phillips Lions Club, PTA and the Booster Clubs for both Phillips and Borger.
Frank married Margaret Ellis May 22, 1945 in Yuma, Arizona. He is survived by his wife Margaret, 4 Sons Frank C. Buddy Badeen and wife Dede of Bella Vista, AR, Michael R. Badeen and wife Theresa of Bartlesville, OK, David E. Badeen and wife Debbie of Rogers, AR and Abraham A. Abe Badeen and wife Lori of Bentonville, AR, 1 Daughter Stella Knickerbocker and husband Jeff of Amarillo, Sister Kay Sexson of Phoenix, AZ, 12 Grandchildren Chris Shadbolt, Sharmain Shadbolt-Westmoreland, Amber Poston, Cherie Daneen Badeen, Quincy Patin, Jake Patin, Cynthia Badeen Cox, Taylor Badeen, Michelle Badeen Wieneke, Ashley Badeen Lauren Badeen and Emily Badeen and 8 Great-Grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his Father Charlie Badeen, Mother Sadie Badeen, 3 Brothers Joe Badeen, Mike Badeen and Bob Badeen, 5 Sisters Rosa Green, Ida Rocky Kuhn, Anna McCaslin, Louise Frost and Sue Baggett.
The family will have a visitation at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
