Borger Fred Harold Anderson, 82, of Borger, died Friday in Amarillo. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Monsignor Norbert Kuehler officiating. Interment will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, Ok. under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Anderson was born February 20,1924 in Hamil, South Dakota to Edwin and Ruth Anderson. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII as a radio operator. Fred married Anna Loehner at the Catholic Chapel at Mitchel Field in Long Island, New York on September 6, 1945. He worked as a civil engineer at Phillips Petroleum. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-Jean Lohanna , a sister- Imogene Hickman and a grandson-John Joseph. Survivors include his wife, Anna of Borger; 5 sons-John Lowell Anderson and wife Donna of St. Petersburg, FL, James Anderson and wife Petra of Canyon, Edwin H. Anderson of Bridge City, TX, Gregory Anderson and wife Mary of Branson, FL, Charles Anderson and wife Lorraine of Prairieville, LA; 2 daughters - Melinda Anderson of Borger and Janey Anderson of Canyon; a sister - Jackie Franco of Sun City, AZ; 16 grandchildren - Tracy Noel, Craig, Dean, Jamie, Julie, Joshua, Jacob, Jonah, Nathan, Eric, Leanna, Danielle, Alexandria, William, Gabriel, Nicholas and 4 step grandchildren - Gracie, Dora, Gregory and Patrick. Casket Bearers will be John Anderson, James Anderson, Edwin Anderson, Gregory Anderson, Charles Anderson and the adult grandchildren.
