Freddie Fred C. Trout, 69 of Hutchinson County, parked his equipment, packed his tools and folded his gloves to provide more service for the lord on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006.BRBRFuneral services will be 2:30pm Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006 at Keller Heights Baptist Church with Rev. James Berry, nephew of Fred Trout and Dr. Paul Anderson, Pastor Officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Graveside rites will be performed by the Borger Elks Lodge.BRBRFred was born to Mayburn and Ella Mae Trout on Oct. 18, 1937 in Clarendon, Texas. He attended schools in Alanreed and McLean, Texas. Fred married the love of his life, Betty Phelps, on May 15, 1959 in Amarillo, Texas. They loved and cherished their two children Jim Bob Trout and Jody McKinney.BRBRFred retired after working as a firechief and EMT for Phillips for 37 years. He accomplished many things in his life. He was an Army veteran, faithful member of Keller Baptist Church, Borger Elks, Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge 1355. He was named local and district Elk of the year. He spent countless hours in 4-H. His greatest accomplishment was helping people and his community. He served on the Pantex Board for 3 years and the loan board for 22 years. He loved to volunteer and could fix anything. Anyone who knew Fred, knew they could count on him. Aside from his regular job as a firechief, he had a dirt work business.He would graciously give his time and equipment for projects at no charge. Besides his family, thats what Fred liked best in life- helping others.BRBRFred was preceded in death by two sisters, Elaine Auldridge and JoDean McFall.BRBRSurvivors include his wife, Betty: Son Jim Bob Trout and wife Pam of Fritch. Daughter Jody McKinny and Husband Tod of Fritch. Brother Bobby Trout and wife, Celajo of Clarendon, Texas. One grandchild, Shaley McKinney and two step- grandchildren Jerod Wilson and Jennifer Wilson-Cantu. Three Great grandchildren Braxton Wilson-Cantu, Kylie Wilson and Braedon Wilson-Cantu and numerous nieces and nephews.BRBRCasket bearers will be Jerry Hunsaker, Butch Rawlins, Gary McFall, D.C. Taylor, Randall Mardis and Mike Berry. Honorary will be Jim Zink, Dean Myers, O. R.
