Garland Cotton

Garland Lee Cotton, 88, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014.

Graveside service will be 11 am Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the Panhandle Cemetery.

Garland was born October 13, 1925 in Arkansas to U.H. and Alta Cotton. He married Mattie Lee Rankin on March 27, 1945 in Magazine, Arkansas. Garland enjoyed playing poker and dominoes, fishing, dancing and being around his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents wife brother, A.B. Cotton
and sister, May Yell.

Survivors include his sons, Wayne Newman and his wife, Jean of Savanna, Oklahoma, Ray Cotton and his wife, Diana of Ozark, Arkansas daughters, Cindy Maddox and her husband, Michael of Panhandle, Joletta Powell, Jeanette Kirkland and her husband, Pete all of Troup, Texas ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
