Garland Lee Millican moved on to greener pastures on November 7, 2018. Lee was born on March 1, 1955 in Amarillo to Talmon Garland Millican and Hazel Maurine Sterling Millican.
Lee was a 1973 graduate of Panhandle High School where he was an exceptional athlete. He was especially partial to football and went on to play at Texas Tech University. After college, he returned to join his parents in their family farming operation outside of Conway. He continued farming, tending to livestock and riding horses until the day he went to join his Heavenly Father.
Lee's life changed significantly in 2005 with the arrival of his first grandchild. He had since come to be better known as "Ralph" to those that knew him best. Ralph enjoyed spending time with them at various events, but especially enjoyed the time he spent with them on the farm.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Millican, of Amarillo, and a son, Jeff Millican and wife Erika of Canyon. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Margaret Barnett, Jan Daniels and Annette Bonner, all of Panhandle. Most importantly, Ralph is survived by Kinslee, Rylee, Ashton, Wesley, Brady and Gentry. He will now forever be watching down on them on this earthly world.
Visitation will be at Minton Chatwell in Panhandle on Sunday, November 11th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Services will be held on Monday, November 12th at 10:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Panhandle with Dr. Stan Cosby officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made to the Conway Community Church or to your favorite charity.
