Garvin Line

Garvin M. Line, 90, died July 31, 2012 in Borger. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Highland Park Cemetery with Max Sunderman, SoninLaw from Vega officiating.

Garvin has lived in Borger for the past 87 years. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the ChinaBurmaIndia Theater and then went to work at Phillips Petroleum Co. where he retired as an Operator. He married Lois Hutchinson September 24, 1942 in Borger. Garvin was first a husband, father and friend, he was an avid fisherman, he loved music and woodworking. He was a member of the VFW Post 1789 in Borger and a 60 year member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years Lois,his 2 sons Ronny Line and his wife Jenny of Stinnett and Garvin Line, Jr. and his wife Karla of Columbia, Missouri, his daughter Beth Sunderman and her husband Max of Vega, 2 Sisters Georgie Gillman of Amarillo and Nancy Blinker of Dallas, his brother Sam Line of Groom, 8 Grandchildren and 3 GreatGrandchildren.
