Gary Dean Kirby, 65, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10 am Thursday, July 28, 2022, at First United Methodist Church in Panhandle with Pastor Kirk Watson officiating. In lieu of flowers, his memory may be served with a gift to a charity of choice. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Gary was born March 31, 1957, in Lubbock, Texas to Bryant Benjamin Kirby and Nina Jo Thacker Kirby. He married Debra Sue Clary on March 25, 1977, in Lubbock. Gary enjoyed tinkering in his shop, hunting, welding and helping his father-in-law farm. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family, especially watching Kaiden play baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie of Panhandle; sons, Stephen Kirby of White Deer, Matthew Kirby and Brittainy Barber of Panhandle; daughter, Tara Plexico and husband Will of Fate, Texas; grandchildren, Kynleigh, Kayleigh, Kloey, Kambry, Maddison, Kaiden, Corbyn, Alexis; and brother, Ronnie Kirby and wife, Kris.
