Gene Turner

Gene Turner, 91, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo with Preacher Jimmy Gilmore officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Gene was born April 14, 1927 in Panhandle, Texas to Ed and Berlin Parish Dunavant. She was a devoted member of Riverview Baptist Church. Gene had a big heart and gave of it freely to serve her church and to take care of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, WA Turner; daughter, Brenda Turner Nichols; grandson, Kyle Dobbs; brother, George Dunavant; and sisters, Betty Dunavant and Inez Mosley.

Survivors include her son, Larry Turner and wife Deborah of Borger; daughter, Nancy O'Gorman and husband Donald of Amarillo; grandchildren, Stephenie Moore and husband Bobby, Randi Anderson and husband Adam, Catherine Limp and husband Seth; six great grandchildren; and brother, Don Dunavant.
