Geneva Mahan

Geneva Mahan, 101, Monday, September 6, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Tanglewood Village, Attn: Tracy, 5501 34th, Lubbock, Texas 79407.

Geneva was born May 21, 1920 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Stephen Redding and Martha Lou Ethel Wells Redding.  She married Vilas M. Mahan on May 6, 1940 in Okemah.  They lived in Phillips until 1985.  She was a member of First Christian Church. Geneva enjoyed sewing, making pies and visiting with everyone.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Ethel Redding; husband, Vilas Mahan; granddaughters, Amy Mahan, Christine Mahan; and son, Bruce Mahan.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Mahan of Lubbock, Phillip Mahan and wife Mary Joe of San Antonio; daughter, Brenda Collins and husband Phil of Collinsville, Oklahoma; daughter-in-law, Linda Mahan of Burnet, Texas; grandchildren, Todd Mahan, Leigh Mahan Zepeda, Diana Mahan Lewis, Nathan Collins, Luke Collins, Ben Collins, Dax Mahan; 19 great grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of extended family.
