Genta Allene Markee, 99, died Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Athens, Texas.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23rd, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Markee was born on January 19, 1912 in Tyro, Kansas. She married Clyde Markee on December 12, 1937 in Coffeeville, Kansas, and he preceded her in death in 1996. She was a homemaker and member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons John Markee of Athens, TX, and Mark Markee of Memphis, TN
