George Burdette

George Richard Burdette, 87, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020.

Private graveside services will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  Mr. Burdette will lie in state Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8 am- 8 pm.   In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to BSA Hospice of the Southwest or to Broadway Baptist Church in Fritch.

George was born August 22, 1933 in Stoneboro, Pennsylvania to Oscar W. Burdette and Mildred I. Snyder Burdette.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force.

He is preceded in death by parents; his first wife, Levada; second wife, Jessie Marie; sons, Richard Burdette, Dale King, Paul King; daughter, Violet Bisbee; granddaughters, Karen and Cindy; brother, Oscar Burdette; and sisters, Helen Komar, Grace Gerber and Jocelyn Buckley.

Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Clem of Greenwood, Arkansas, Jana Burdette and Terry Turner of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Sue Price of Hazen, Arkansas; son, Charles King and wife Audrey of Sulphur, Louisiana and a special son in law Mike Clem of Ft Smith, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; numerous great-great grandchildren; brother, Vivian Burdette; sister, Thelma Albert; brothers-in-law, Willard Buckley, Bill Gerber; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
