George Sanchez, 63, died Monday, August 11, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas.BRBRRosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel with nathan Kennedy, Seminarian officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Immaculate Concepcion Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMr. Sanchez was born on April 18, 1945 in Electra, Texas. He had been a resident of Borger for 50 years and had lived in Amarillo the past seven years. He was a maintenance supervisor for Flow Flow Investments. He was a member of the Canyon Country Club, was an avid golfer, loved sports, was a former Golden Gloves Boxer, and assisted homeless people.BRBRHe is survived by three sons - Jesse and Joe of Chicago, IL, and Jerry Don of Amarillo; three daughters - Charlene, Elizabeth, and Lisa of Denver, CO; brother - Dennis Sanchez of Fritch, Joe Sanchez of Amarillo, three sisters - Elida Naslund of Amarillo, Elisa Chavez of Borger, Elena Montiel of Port Arthur, TX, three grandchildren and fourteen nieces nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Andres and Josephine Sanchez, one brother, Andrew Sanchez, and one sister Helen Sanchez.BRBRCasket bearers will be Dan Luther, Richard McMinn, Richard McLaughlin, Steve Russell, Roy Milliron, Joe Sanchez and Nathan Kennedy.BR
