Georgia Cheatwood

Georgia Ellen Cheatwood, 85, went to be with her Lord on March 31, 2013 in Amarillo.

Georgia was born February 1, 1928 in Hollis, Oklahoma to John and Oregon Carley.

She and her husband J.D. were charter members of Riverview Baptist Church in Borger, TX. She loved her family, cooking, gardening, quilting and taking care of others.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on April 4, 2013 at Riverview Baptist Church with Jimmy Gillmore, Pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Cheatwood daughter, Carolyn Lewis son, David Cheatwood and granddaughter, Rhonda McBrayer.

Georgia is survived by one daughter, Donna Richardson and husband, Larry of Fritch, TX sonbylove, Travis Cheatwood and wife, Carla of Pearland, TX grandchildren, Lorne McBrayer and wife, Tammy of Sanford, TX Brian Lewis and wife Laurie of Tyler, TX Kevin Lewis and wife Susan of Splendora, TX Justin and Cody Cheatwood of Dickinson, TX Jessica Snead and husband, Jimmy of Lubbock, TX, Darren Richardson and Amy Braman of Fritch, TX great grandchildren, Kaycee Orr and husband Sean of Amarillo, TX Christopher McBrayer of Sanford, TX Brandon Lewis of Splendora, TX Logan Cheatwood of Dickinson, TX and Waylen Richardson of Fritch, TX two brothers, Aaron Carley and wife Billie of Cove, TX and J.O. Carley and wife Lydia of Cleveland, TX five sisters, Bernice Huls of Fairfield, TX Martha Jo Williams of Houston, TX Ovetta Hitchcock of Arlington, TX Mary Hitchcock of Springfield, MO Johnnie Thompson of Kansas City, MO and many nieces and nephews special family acknowledgement: Homer and Cindy Coronado and children, Nathan and Jared Mike and Yvette Cheatwood and children, Derek, Brooke, and Meghan.

Casket Bearers will be Justin Cheatwood, Jamie Cheatwood, Alton Ray Cheatwood II, Lorne McBrayer, Christopher McBrayer, Kevin Lewis, Brian Lewis, Darren Richardson, Jimmy Snead and Sean Orr.
