Georgie Lee Gillman, 89 died, Wednesday, January 1, in Amarillo. Graveside Services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Park Cemetery, in Borger, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, at the Westcliff Bible Church, in Amarillo with Rev. Ken Sheppard of Dallas, and Dr. Stephen Waterhouse officiating. Arrangements are by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Georgie was born on March 4, 1924, in Hedley, TX, to Sam and Alma Line. She married Johnny Gillman on July 25, 1943. Georgie was a resident of Borger from 1943 until 2001, when she moved to Amarillo. She was a member of the Westcliff Bible Church. She was a beloved wife, Mother, Grandmother, Greatgrandmother and friend to many. She loved to play games with her friends at Craig Methodist Retirement Center.
Georgie was preceded in death by her husband in 2000, a son, Jerry Gillman in 1960, brothers, Garvin and Eugene Line, a sister, Louise Ausbrooks, and grandson, John Gillman in 1971.
Georgies survivors are sons, Levert Gillman and wife Teresa of Amarillo, and Bruce Gillman and wife Teresa of Borger brother Sammy Line of Amarillo sister, Nancy Blinker of Dallas grandchildren, Cap Gillman and wife Leslyn, Jennifer Mills and husband Cody, Amanda Dawson and husband John David, Trey Gillman, Matthew Gillman and wife Cristen greatgrandchildren, Claire, Georgia, and Gray Gillman, Zeke and Cade Mills, Lydia, Hunter, and Sophie Dawson, Elizabeth, Shelby, and Wyatt Gillman, and Caitlin and Madelin Gillman.
