Gerald Jerry Lorraine Fields, loving husband and devoted father, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, Oct. 20, 2006.BRMemorial services will be 7:00 pm. Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Dr. Jerry Lane officiating.BR Jerry was born in Guthrie, Okla., on Sept. 23, 1926, and moved to Borger in 1963. he served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Peggy Ragain on August 17, 1947. He managed the local Safeway grocery store before going to work at Doyle's, formely the Hub, where he worked for many years. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a former member of Borger Chamber of Commerce and the Elks Lodge.BR Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Daisy Fields, and by his siblings, Leverett Fields, Marie Scott, Fern Roberts and Vernon Fields.BR He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Fields, of the home; children Beverly Fields, Mike Fields, Toni Ames and husband Dennis, all of Borger, and Stanley Fields of Round Rock, Tx.; 6 Grandchildren, Melissa Stroud and husband Shawn and Julie Keeth, all of Borger, Darren Keeth and wife Stephanie of Austin, Lori Keeth of Flagstaff, Az., Jeremy Fields, currently serving with the military at Fort Benning, Ga., and Alan Fields, Cape Canaveral, Fla.; and 7 Great Grandchildren, Chloe Stroud, Lauren Royer, Blythe Larson and Bailey Larson, all of Borger, Justin Keeth of Austin Tx., Houston Everett and Vince Everett, of Troy Tx.BR The family will be staying at 1101 Everest St.BR In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 1202 Valley Dr., Borger, TX. 79007.BR
