Gerald Wayne Popcorn Walters, 86, passed away in his sleep on Friday, November 19, 2010. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Mr. Walters was born on May 29, 1924 in McKinney, TX. A lifelong farmerrancher, Popcorn was known as a good neighbor and a loving family man. But his pride and joy was in being a Poppy to his grandsons, Jacob Luke Walters and Colton Mayo Walters. He is also survived by his son, Hayden Walters, daughterinlaw Sylvia Walters of Westbrook, TX and daughter, Marsha Walters and her husband John Wells of San Antonio, as well as one brother, James Walters of Bullhead City, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hayden and Myrtie Walters, his first wife Virginia Jones Walters, one sister Annette Walters Mayo, and brothers Kirby Walters and Aubrey Walters.

Graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens in Pampa at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23rd.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take your grandchildren fishing or donate to your favorite charity.
