Geraldine Jeri Osborne, 73, died Thursday, July 7, 2011 in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Panhandle with Rev. Buddy Payne, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Jeri was born on September 2, 1937 in Dimmitt, Texas to Clerice Beulah Rhoade. She had been a lifetime Panhandle area resident. She married James Jim W. Osborne on August 23, 1958 in Panhandle and he preceded her in death in 2003. She was a homemaker and farmer, member of the Methodist Church, Red Hats, Women Involved in Farm Economics and School Finance Committee. She was a Carson County Republican chairman, and a past school board member and teacher.
Jeri is survived by her son James Michael Mike Osborne and wife Connie of Scottsdale, AZ, two daughters Dana Osborne Porter and husband Patrick of Wolfforth, TX, Judy Osborne Jaksha and husband John of Austin, sister Dorcas Weatherred of Plainview, TX, two grandchildren Jewel and Joy, special nieces and nephews Randy Rhoades, Jennifer Ann Pigg, Steven Cagle Davis and Tammie Beck.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Box 549, Panhandle 79068.
