Harold Bybee

Harold “Harl” Dean Bybee, 87, of Borger, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021.

Graveside services will be at 2pm Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in the Westlawn Memorial Park under the Direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger with Mr. Jake Minton officiating.

Harold was born January 15, 1934 in Jayton, Texas to Joseph W. Bybee & Bonita Adkins Bybee. He was raised in Borger where he graduated from Borger High School in 1954.  He proudly served in the United States Army joining in 1955.   After his honorable discharge in 1957, Harold moved back to Borger where he was employed with White’s Furniture & Unique Furnishings.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, & bingo, as well as watching Hee Haw & Westerns. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers & wrestling.   Harold had a servant’s heart, a great memory & enjoyed life to the fullest!  Nothing brought more joy to his life than being around family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bonita Bybee; two brothers, Wayne Bybee, Ed Bybee; and one sister, Helen Bybee.

Survivors include his nephews, Bill Bybee, Roger Lewis, Brad Bybee, Larry Stanford; nieces, Shelly Bybee, Becky Bybee, Amy Bybee, Renee Stanford Pate, Dena Stanford; & several great nieces and nephews.
