Harold Lowery passed away surrounded by his loving wife and daughters on February 13, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas.

He was born to Melvin and Euna Lowery on December 2, 1945 in Lamesa, Texas.  A lifelong resident of Borger, Texas.  Harold married Sharon York on September 23, 1964.  Together they made a lovely life together with their two daughters.  After working for M&M Auto Parts for many years, Harold opened his own business, Harold’s Automotive.  Harold began working his HCR mail route around 20 years ago and so enjoyed the people on his route.  He cherished young people, mentoring and encouraging them during the many years driving a school bus.  He loved the children that rode his bus and enjoyed driving students to sporting events, music competitions, or academic adventures. Working with Borger’s youth during Park Rec was the highlight of his summers

He is loved by many, but none more than his three grandchildren who he adored.  They brought him so much joy as he encouraged them in their endeavors.  Their performances, sporting events, and concerts were things he most enjoyed.  Harold was a quick witted man and friend to all.  His life culminated in a series of selfless acts.  He will truly be missed by so many but leaves a legacy of love.

Harold is preceded in death by his father, mother, brother Bob; and sister Faye.

Harold is survived by his wife, Sharon; his daughters, Teresa Fleury and husband Chris, Tara Lowery-Hart and husband Russell; his grandchildren, Christopher Sams, and Campbell and Cadence Lowery-Hart; and his sister, Thelma Albidres.  He is also survived by the Phillips Family, Craig, Cathy, Les, Tony, Carissa whom he loved like his own.  The Lowery Family is forever grateful to the loving nursing staff at BSA Hospital for their care.

Harold brought joy and laughter to so many, please join the family in a celebration of his life which will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the Church of Christ at Borger.  Out of respect for Harold we ask that you please wear a mask.  If you would like to make a donation, his memory may be honored with a gift to Borger Snack Pak for Kids, 701 Park Place Ave., Amarillo, Texas, 79101, please place his name on the memo line of the check.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 in the Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger.
