Marie Estes, 78, woke up with Jesus Friday, September 11, 2009. in Amarillo.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at at Keeler Baptist Church in Borger, with Dr. Paul Anderson officiating and Rev. Leon Green former pastor assisting. Burial will be in The Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
She was born June 26, 1931 in Oklahoma City to Henry And Marie Willbanks. She married Robert, Bob Estes December 20, 1951 in Oklahoma City. After having all her children in school, she returned to school, earning her Licensed Vocational Nursing Degree, graduation in 1973. She worked in the Borger and Pampa hospitals, and retired after working for 8 years for Dr. Joe Knowles, in 1984.BRBRShe was a member of Wednesday Nite Bridge Club, Keeler Baptist Church, and was a Texas Special Olympics Coach. In her spare time she and her husband traveled in their motor home and went on several cruises. In her later years, she loved taking care of her great-grandchildren.BRBRMarie was a loving wife, awesome mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; who loved chasing her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.BRBRShe is preceded in death by her parents.BRBRSurvived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bob Estes;a brother Robert Willbanks; 1 son, Mark Estes, of Hailey, Idaho; 2 daughters Shelley and her husband Ken Davis of Fritch, Texas; Shawn of home; a grandson Kris Anaya and his children Anthony, Micheal, and Shaylea; a granddaughter Karrie Lay and her husband Dylan, and their children Angel and Sam.BRBRIn lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Borger Special Olympics Bowling Team: PO Box 1090 Fritch, Tx 79036BRHonorary pall bearers are Hope Class of Keeler Baptist Church.BRPall Bearers will be Alvin Paulsell, Ken Davis, Buddy Reese ,Larry Thompson, Floyd Sperry and Charles Webster.BRBR BR
