Hazel Hubbard

April 20, 1920 — October 21, 2009


Hazel Maudy Hubbard, 89, went to meet her Lord Wednesday in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at the 1st Baptist Church in Vega with Rev. James Peach, Pastor of Frio Baptist Church in Hereford officiating. Graveside rites will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, TX under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Hubbards Granddaughter Patti Ford will officiate in Kerrville.

Mrs. Hubbard was born in Henrietta, OK and had lived in Vega for 6 years where she was a member of the 1st Baptist Church. She was retired from C. R. Anthonys in Perryton after 17 years of service. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to travel. She was married to Ernest Hub Hubbard November 21, 1935 in Oklahoma who preceded her in death. Hazel was also preceded in death by her son Ernest Junior Hubbard.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Barbara Dockter and husband Doc of Vega, Janet Powell and husband LeRoy of Borger and Norma Eisenman and husband Larry of Vega, 2 sisters; Flossie Deates of Seguin, TX and Cosetta Wilkerson of Cottonwood, CA, 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Doc Dockter, LeRoy Powell, Larry Eisenman, Tony Honaker, and Larry Eisenman, Jr.
Family requests memorials be made to the Gideons International or Breast Cancer Awareness
