Helen Lyda Borslien, 76, formerly of Fritch died Thursday, July 22, 2010 in Floresville, TX
Memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 14th, at the First United Methodist Church in Fritch with Rev. Larry Gaumond, Pastor officiating and Vicki Wilson, assisting. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mrs. Borslien was born March 16, 1934 in Augusta, Maine. She had lived in Fritch since 1986 and moved to Floresville in October, 2009. She served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was an office manager in a propane gas business. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fritch. She married Neil Borslien on May 5, 1957 in Las Vegas, NV. She was a volunteer at the Borger Hospital and was an avid arrowhead and artifact hunter.
She is survived by her husband Neil Borslien of the home, son Scott Borslien and wife Terri of El Cajon, CA, two daughters Mary McCloskey and husband Jim of Lake Elsinore, CA, Kristine Ehrlich and husband Russell of Kyle, TX, brother Daniel Murphy of Augusta, Maine, sister Pat Richardson of Vista, CA, Arlene Bolster of Camino, CA, five grandchildren, two greatgrandchildren and one greatgreat grandchild.
