Helen Crawford, 90, of Panhandle, TX passed from this life to the next on December 31, 2012 in Amarillo, Texas
She was born to Van and Lora Carter in the home of her grandparents, which is now the Carson County Square House Museum, in Panhandle, Texas, on January, 18,1922.
She graduated from Panhandle High School, retired from years of service at the Farm Service Agency in Carson County, Panhandle, Texas and was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Panhandle.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Audry Crawford. Helen and Audry were married on March 29,1941. They are survived by their two children, Billy Van Crawford and wife, Carole of Panhandle, Texas and Audra Ann Crawford Maddox and husband, David of Sweetwater, Texas.
She was Grandmother to Cathy Crawford Hauslein and husband Rick, Cindy Crawford OBrien and husband Danny, Scott Maddox and wife Staci, and Lee Maddox and wife Krista.
She was Great Grandmother to Whitney, Carly, Conor, Madison, Mason, Neely, Kammi, McKaylee, and Mitchel.
There will be a Memorial Service to honor her life of faith at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 4th at the First Baptist Church in Panhandle, Texas. Honor Pallbearers are her Grandsons Lee Maddox, Scott Maddox, Rick Hauslein, and Danny OBrien.
Burial will be before the Service at the Panhandle Cemetery for immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers the family request that any memorials be made to BSA Hospice, Alzheimers Association, First Baptist Church of Panhandle, or the charity of your choice.
Family visitation will be Thursday January 3rd from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
