PanhandleBRBRHelen Walker, 86, died Sunday, May 27th, 2007 in Ft. Worth, Texas.BRBRGraveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Panhandle Cemetery in Panhandle, Texas with Rob Lackey of Panhandle officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.BRBRMrs. Walker was born on December 22, 1920 in Ellis County, Texas. She was a Panhandle resident from 1964 to 2005 and had lived in Cleburne for a year. She married Howard L. Walker on August 3, 1942 in Austin, Tx. and he preceded her in death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Joe Thompson. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Panhandle.BRBRShe is survived by two sons - Mike Walker of Cleburne, Tx., Bill Walker of Tucson, Arizona, daughter - Joan Heare of Panhandle, Tx., two sisters - Jane Dykes and Odessa Adams both of Italy, Tx., eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.BRBRThere will be a visitation at the Panhandle funeral home from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
