Helen West

Helen passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family around her at 2:00PM Friday January 22, 2016. She was born July 18, 1935 in Shamrock Texas to Othel and Wesley (Scrip) Deweese. She attended several schools in her lifetime beginning in Kelton Tx and graduating from Texhoma OK. She had two sons from a previous marriage. Farrell Reeves of Longmont, Colorado and Jack Reeves of Fritch Texas. In 1970 she married Jimmie H West of Borger and they were married for 45 years. He brought seven children into the marriage.

Helen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a great homemaker and also as a partner in their business, GEFCO gas measurement. When Mr. West answered the call to the ministry She became a real asset to their ministry until she became disabled from a stroke in 2005. All of the children loved and honored Helen as mom.

Survivors include her husband Jim West of the home. Her children Farrell Reeves and wife Joni of Longmont
Colorado. Jack Reeves and wife Tammy of Fritch, Patricia Ludden and husband James of Cleburne TX. Janet Tyner and husband Danny of Fayetteville NC. Jimmie \/Vest Jr and wife Sandra of Borger. Mary Williams and husband Jesse of Hickory NC and Kenneth West of Hickory NC. 21 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at the First Christian Church of Stinnett officiated by Rev. James Stephens. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger, Texas.

Pallbearers: Farrell Reeves; Jack Reeves; Jack West; Jimmie West Jr; James Ludden and Barry Swihart.

The family wants to express their appreciation for the loving care she received from Hospice of the Southwest. Their attention to Mrs. West final needs was given in loving attention to her comfortable passing. Thank you.
