Henderson Scott, Jr.

Henderson Scott, Jr., 89, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, in Amarillo, Texas.

Henderson was born March 14, 1934, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Henderson Scott, Sr. and Sara Smith Scott.  He married Cecilia Paul in 1956 in Jeanerette, Louisiana.  Henderson was a member of Grace Church.  He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and listening to music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henderson and Sara Scott; wife, Cecilia Scott; and sister, Mary Seals.

Survivors include his sons, Henderson Scott, III of Dallas, Royal Lee Scott of Florida, Gregory Scott of Borger, Wayne Scott of Houston, Bryant Gray of Dallas; daughters, Leslie Charles of Houston, Carmeal Charles of Houston, Katina Fortson of Houston; 34 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; sister, Diana Brown of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
