Herman Leven

Herman L. Leven, 77 of Groom, Tx died Tuesday April 10th in Groom. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 pm Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Groom. Arrangements are by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Herman was born November 22, 1940 in Amarillo to Louis Henry and Sophia Rose (Koetting) Leven. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He married Barbara Ann Terbush March 4, 1964 in Groom, TX. He owned and operated the 66 Café in Groom and was a carpenter. He loved to hunt, fish and especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He served in the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sister, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and a son.

Surviving is his sons Louis and Sabrina Leven of Dumas, TX; Duane Mansel of Amarillo. Daughters Wynell and Vernon Neusch of Panhandle; Daughter Rose and Glen Wiginton of Groom. Sisters Alice Austin of Panhandle and Ann Mansel of Amarillo. Nineteen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.
