Herschel Moffitt

Herschel Glenn Moffitt, 79 of Borger, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023, in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 26, 2022, at Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger. Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Herschel was born October 11, 1943, in Amarillo, Texas to Willard and Faye Moffitt. He served in the US Army. He worked as an independent welder. Herschel loved artifact hunting, working on cars and fishing.

Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Herschel Bryan Moffitt; brothers, Kay, Tommy, Jerry, George, and Paul.

Surviving are his sons, Bo Moffitt of Borger, Jeb Moffitt of Wimberly, Texas; daughters, Nikki Moffitt of Round Rock, Texas, Kacy Carlton of Katy, Texas; and six grandchildren.
