Herschel Moffitt

Herschel Bryan Moffitt, 47, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014.

Mr. Moffitt will lie in state at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger starting at noon on Sunday, January 5, 2014. Family will receive guests from 57 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Herschel was born February 23, 1966 in Borger. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a graduate of Phillips High School in 1985.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, B.W. Ralls, Hubert Howard, Willard Moffitt and grandmother, Alva Faye Moffitt.

Survivors include his children, Kia Moffitt of Borger, Heidi Moffitt of Murfreesboro , AK, Dylan Overpeck of Borger father, Herschel Moffitt of Borger mother, Brenda Howard and her husband, Danny of Cove, Arkansas brothers, Denny of Dallas, Danny Jr., Mark both of Borger, Bo, Jeb both of Austin sisters, Casey, Nikki both of Austin grandparents, Ina Ralls and Merle Howard and a host of extended family.
