Herschel West

Herschel Ferrel West, 61, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

Funeral services will be held 3 pm on Monday, January 28, 2019 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Brian Glosson officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Sunday, January 27, 2019.

Herschel was born July 3, 1957 in Strong, Arkansas to Grace Everettine Ball West and Herschel Ferrel West. A little stubborn, some may say gruff, but we all loved him. He enjoyed doing artwork, gardening, fishing and hunting for artifacts. Herschel always had a special place in his heart for his cats.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his daughters, Tiana West of Borger, Brandy Baker and husband Bruce of Fritch; son, Donovan West of Borger; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; sister, JoAnn Watson of Amarillo; two nieces; three great nieces; one great-great nephew; and a host of extended family.
